Basilur Cardamom - oriental harmony of black tea and cardamom
Basilur Cardamom is an exceptional Ceylon black tea created for lovers of bold, spicy aromas.
The combination of noble Ceylon tea with an aromatic spice prized for centuries in Middle Eastern and Asian cuisine creates an incredibly harmonious composition. Once brewed, the tea delights with its deep amber color and intense aroma, in which the spicy notes of cardamom harmonize perfectly with the natural strength of black tea. It is an ideal choice for both a morning start to the day and an afternoon moment of relaxation. It tastes excellent on its own, but also pairs well with a touch of honey or milk, inspired by traditional oriental tea brewing methods.
The elegant packaging from the Oriental Collection catches the eye with its rich design inspired by Oriental culture, making the tea look exceptionally impressive.

Black tea brewing time
How to prepare black tea:
Pour water at 90°C over the tea
⏰ Brewing time should be between 3 and 5 minutes
Brew black tea just the way you like it best:
up to 3 minutes - you will get a highly refreshing and stimulating infusion
up to 5 minutes - the infusion will contain less caffeine, and its effect will be more relaxing
Brewing for too long makes the infusion taste bitter, but it does not make it contain more caffeine or be more stimulating.
On the contrary - the tannins that develop with each additional minute, giving a bitter taste, neutralize the effects of the theine.
What is black tea and how does it differ from green tea?
Black tea consists of fully oxidized leaves from the Camellia sinensis plant. Unlike green (unoxidized) tea, it produces a darker infusion, has a fuller flavor (with malty, chocolatey, and spicy notes), and a more pronounced aroma.
How much caffeine does black tea have?
On average 40–70 mg of caffeine per 250 ml, depending on the variety, the amount of leaves, and the brewing time. This is less than an average cup of coffee, but the stimulating effect is gentler and longer-lasting.
Is black tea healthy?
Contains polyphenols and natural antioxidants. Moderate consumption is fine for most people. If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, sensitive to caffeine, or taking medication, consult your doctor.
What are the most popular types of black tea?
Ceylon/Sri Lanka: clean, citrusy freshness, medium strength.
Assam (India): strong, malty, great with milk.
Darjeeling (India): lighter, floral-muscatel (often called the "champagne of teas").
Yes. Milk suits strong teas (Assam, English Breakfast). Lemon brightens lighter profiles (Ceylon). Do not combine milk and lemon at the same time — the tea may curdle.
