  • Pour water at 70–80°C over the tea
  • ⏰ Steep for 2 to 3 minutes

Steep the tea however you prefer:

  • Up to 2 minutes – you’ll get a highly refreshing and stimulating infusion
  • Up to 3 minutes – the infusion will contain less caffeine and have a more relaxing effect

Steeping for too long makes the infusion taste bitter, but it does not increase the caffeine content or make it more stimulating.

On the contrary, the tannins that develop with each additional minute and give the tea its bitter taste neutralize the effects of the theanine.
