Tea blends at their very best.

Where does tea come from?

The first tea crops appeared in China over 4,000 years ago. Today, tea is also produced in India, Sri Lanka, Japan, Kenya, Vietnam, and many other tropical and subtropical countries.

Does the tea contain caffeine?

Teas made from Camellia sinensis, namely black, green, white, and oolong, naturally contain caffeine, commonly known as theine. Its amount depends on several factors, including the type of leaves, the portion used, and the brewing method. Fruit and herbal infusions usually do not contain caffeine, unless they contain stimulating ingredients.

Is tea healthy?

Tea contains natural plant compounds, including polyphenols. It can be part of a varied diet, but it should not be treated as a medicinal product or attributed with disease-preventing properties.

How should tea be stored?

In a cool, dark place, in an airtight container. Tea easily absorbs odors and moisture, so it should not be stored near spices or coffee.

What accessories are needed for brewing tea?

Most commonly: a teapot, infuser, mug with a strainer, or filter jug. For matcha – a bamboo whisk (chasen) and bowl (chawan).
